I get either a single video file with no audio or sometimes, a video file and an empty audio file. It seems that no matter what I try (track 0, track 1, invert, use QT, encode AAC.) nothing helps. This played in MPlayer (the binary player, not the ffmpegx "Play" utility) with audio. I recompositied the original in HyperEngine AV and set the audio to AAC.

If I remix the original animation, is there a "best" audio format to use in the composite AV MOV file so ffmpegx will re-encode it successfully?ĭownloaded 0.0.9u r2 and tried again. VLC lists the audio as: Stream 0, Codec in24, channels 1, sample rate 44100, bps 16, bitrate 705. THe input audio was a WAV file and the output was Linear PCM, mono, 44.100, sample size 24bits and it diplays the format as Integer (Big Endian) and the composite file used the 3ivx compression codec.įfmpegx shows the audio as: 0x34326e69, 44100 Hz, mono The AV file was composited in HyperEngineAV. I guess this indicates a problem with the audio that's tripping ffmpegx up but what would the problem be and how would I avoid it in future (I'm putting my own animations together)? Ta.Įdit: Sorry, it seems Mplayer doesn't play the audio in this file. If you need more info please let me know what you need and I'll try to provide.

I don't know if this is a bug in the software or the user but I'm running out of things to try.

The only way I've managed to get audio in the output file is to physically type the directory address of the original separate audio file in the text panel for "Add Audio" (the button doesn't work, nor does drag n drop). I've tried different track options (0 & 1) and I've tried inverting but I only get video output, no sound. The input summary shows audio in the file (and it plays in QT, VLC, Mplayer with no problem).
